How To Avoid Dropped Calls

By Reggie Martin

A cell phone is a wonderful technology to possess, unless you are one of the many who experience dropped calls and missed connections. Almost everyone has had to deal with these issues at one time or another.

Fortunately, there is a solution to this universal problem of being cut off at the wrong time.

Users in rural regions tend to experience disruptions in service because of the fact that their cell phones emit weak signals. This means that there is not enough power for the phone and the cell tower to interact properly.

Phones need to be in contact with the nearest cell tower to work, and if it is far away and in places where the signal can be blocked, these outages are more frequent, but there is a simple fix for this problem.

One great solution to this problem is to look into getting a more powerful antenna for your phone. They are readily available, and by increasing your signal strength, you are reducing the chances of missed connections and dropped calls.

Additionally, consider replacing your battery. A good and powerful battery that holds a charge will also increase the power of your phone, which will limit the times where you find yourself loosing connections.

Repeaters are a good way to get consistent signal strength, especially in places where it is weak one moment and strong the next. Finding the right repeater is easy because they can be used for a variety of phones as well as services.

Finally, you would be surprised to learn that having a weak signal can be as simple as holding the phone the wrong way. If you are in a weak area, double check to make sure that you are talking with the antenna in the upright position when your phone is in use.
